I must be

crazy.
I'm stressed out over various things (who isn't?), and my go-to activity when stressed is changing something in the house.
So, I'm painting the living room.  Again.
Goodbye, muted green.
Hello, cream.
Michael didn't say a word when I came staggering in with paint.
I don't involve him in the chaos, he keeps his mouth shut.  It works well for us.

Yesterday, I cut brush.
Brush meaning hawthorns and blackberry brambles.
Yes, I bled a lot..but look what I found!

The skull is complete! I even found all the teeth! :D
Now, I gotta put it back together.

AND!
My spider love pays off...
Sic 'em, Spidey!
Take that, you little stinkbug bastards.

I need to get back to work...this place is like Paintpocalypse .

  1. pig leaves you alone for a day (okay, a week) and look how you spend your time! :) honey, when i'm stressed, i eat or drink or exercise. i suggest either or all three instead of bleeding and painting. :)

  7. My kind of lady--blow that good stress energy on change and destroy OR create chaos. Sounds like hubby has learned, like mine, to just get out of the way. Cool skull. Go spider GO!

  8. That's a great find! At least it isn't Pig! That would be so sad. I don't mind spiders as long as they stay outside. Great meal shot!

  10. I'd love for someone to paint my house! It hasn't been painted in 14 years since we built the house.

  11. Cool Spider! That part of the blog is awesome. I've got to admit, though, that I quickly scrolled past the bones part. Bones creep me out. More than that... bones give me the willies, while making me sad for whatever poor creature died and left them behind while making me kind of nauseous at the same time. And that is the reason why I never became a vet or a doctor. Irrational fears of bones tend to be frowned upon in the medical community.

  12. You're very energetic when stressed! I generally just go to bed a bit early. I certainly don't break out the paint can :)

That skull is probably an ex-meal from the psychopathic neighbour of yours?

  14. Sam I wish I had the irrepressible urge to paint my house when stressed because I would have the whole dang thing painted inside and out these last few weeks! I am happy to finally see your stinkbug because I thought you were talking about Asian Beetles which will shortly be here in my little bit of country stinking and leaving orange death squiggles on everyTHING they land on. Bah!

    Cool skull.

  25. Nice skull! I'll have to show you what passes for ornaments here at Club Mountaingoat: glancing over this here keyboard, I spy parts of a sea turtle, a whale spine, a goat and some kinda marsupial - all found objects of course. A really under-utilised home furnishing item - screw Ikea!
