*stare* WHY!?
"So no one steals and uses your Pig photos and commentary!"
*blank face*
"Seriously! She's hilarious, and the captions are great"
*raised eyebrow*
"What if you choose to do something with the photos?"
*eyeroll*
'Wait. We could be makin' bank on my photos!?" |
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" |
I don't see the point in copyrighting anything I've posted. It's a groundhog..not some rare creature.
Who the hell is stealing groundhog photos?
Are there bands of marauding Whistle Pig pic thieves on the internet?
She's a groundhog..one of millions...
Even if she does have a penchant for bad hats:
"Wait..you're laughing 'cause I have something in my TEETH, aren't you?" |
Things went slightly awry when I was throwing the
She had absolutely no issue with wearing..and later eating..her lettuce hat.
But her great love..always and forevers.. carbs.
"Caaaaarbs!" |
"Look look! No hands!" |
"Hey..this is what you look like with brownies..AHAHA. Oh come on, don't get MAD" |
Oh, I get it Sam - you're fattening Pig up for the dinner plate!
ReplyDeleteNever mind copyright*, has Pig signed a 'model release form'?
*You own the copyright to your pics anyway, regardless of whether you stamp a big C all over them.
Chris
I understand the copyright issue-- it may not only be because of Pig, but also the quality of these photos are excellent, and somebody else could take credit for it and say THEY took those pics. That is really the only issue I can see about it.
ReplyDeleteThat last photo, it looks like Pig is actually smiling, I love it! So you look like that when you get brownies, huh? LOL
I don't know, Sam, but, Pig is so endearing, and she just might make a great subject for a children's book. One on the dangers of eating too many carbs, perhaps? Might be worth looking into. I don't have the slightest idea how you'd go about it, though.
ReplyDeleteI don't copyright mine either. Course Pig is working the runway - so she may need to sign some contracts and watch those carbs of hers.
ReplyDeleteThe others are right, you may want Pig to sign some sort of contract! Great pics and I think Pig is actually smiling in the last one!
ReplyDeleteI really wish we lived closer....you are so funny! I feel the same way about my bank account as you feel about your pictures...who would want it?? Take it please and maybe put some money in it while you are it...though your pics are terrific!..I love me some carbs too and I do some jogging to try to out pace them but...I think you should make a calendar with pig's pics...especially the one with the lettuce hat..lol..
ReplyDeleteFalling off my chair laughing!
ReplyDeleteI've about decided copyright and watermarking photos and other brilliant blog stuff is just an exercise in futility. It is SO easy to edit,(just ask me how) steal, borrow, rip off, anything published on the www. And I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble unless the owner is a gi-normous business with deep pockets--and even they have to go through years of litigation.
But please put me down as a faithful member of the PIG FAN CLUB.
i do believe pig is getting wider every time we see her... nice and roly-poly by winter... what a ham. i mean hog. i mean pig. whistle...
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Pig doesn't give a flyin' flip about copyright schmopyright nonsense. Just keep the carbs commin'
ReplyDeleteLove That Pig
"groundhog is considered good eatin' in WV" Anything that stops moving for more than 5 minutes is considered good eatin' over there on the wrong side of the state line!
ReplyDeleteThe lettuce hat is a hoot! Oh heck, Pig is a hoot each and every time I see her!
ReplyDeleteShe is getting, ah... fluffier. Your pics are great:@)
ReplyDeleteOoooh! What a Chublet! So sweet...I dunno....you may end up seeing that cute thing on a billboard...;) (If he fits;))
ReplyDeleteThe Pig Fan Club is a great idea! Count me in.
ReplyDeleteNow, you could make some money printing these pictures as a book, and making a fluffy stuffed animal having Pig as the model. It would sell, and I would buy both: the book and the toy!
xxxx
I am a pig fan too ! your hilarious! you and miss pig. Carbs ...they are my downfall too , pig !
ReplyDeleteI think pig should be going to boot camp. B
ReplyDeleteThey ARE awesome photos, and your commentary is hysterical. My friend once found that someone else was stealing the entire content of each of her blog posts and reposting them as his own.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your friend. You might want to make a hysterical PIG book someday!
Even SIMON the cat got his start somewhere. :)
ReplyDeleteThe only reason I put my website on my photos is so if they get posted somewhere -- at least they know how to get back to me. That's my theory anyhow.
ReplyDeleteI hear lettuce hats are in this season. :)
Looks like he saw his shadow. Guess it will be 6 more weeks of summer. :)
ReplyDeleteDon't know which one I like the best...the lettuce hat or that last pic where she is looking a bit devious. lol
ReplyDeleteWell she is photogenic. My kids always say the same thing and I pick myself up off the floor and always say, why in the world would someone go to all of the trouble.
ReplyDeleteYour pig pictures though are priceless.
Well, if you ever get to working on that Pig franchise I keep nagging you about, some copywritin' and trademarkin' will be a necessity.
ReplyDeleteWill you do a Pig-related guest post on my blog? Pretty pleeeeease?
i want one!!!!!
ReplyDeletethe way i see it, whether i put a stamp on them or not, people who want to steal an image, will steal an image
ReplyDeletePeople can steal any picture they want...the problem is catching them. One of my blog friends had that happen and she got quite a settlement from a magazine. Pig is adorable and seems very friendly. The story about the toddler chasing the dog was very interesting...why do people do that? You have such beautiful trails available for walking. 35!!!!! You are just a babe!
ReplyDeleteDo what I do, take blurred photos of crap. No one will ever steal those!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd eat that pig, no problems.
i'd totally jack the groundhog. oh.... wait... you're talking about the PHOTOS!!!
ReplyDeletegirl - you're classic... your photos AND your captions... how 'bout you sign your name on 'em in the corner - in a light way?
in the meantime - i'll keep pinning Pig... i like doing that.
;-D robelyn
Tell Pig to move over-those are MY carbs!!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog-now following!
Thanks for coming by!
hahaha thanks for the giggles!
ReplyDeletevery hilarious!
great images!
it is a serious tie between the lettuce hat and no hands for my favorite. I think Pig is seriously starting to lose it ;)
