No blue table shot today.
I was so loaded down with tomatoes and ground cherries I just picked everything straight into a big bucket. I have enough ground cherries to make a pie now. We'll be having that for dessert tonight.
We're planning a quiet day at home..Michael's off today.

We've had a crazy few days! Looking forward to our downtime today.
OH! Good news! Jeremy was released from the hospital! Kidney function is improving on its own :)
THANK YOU all for the prayers and good thoughts!
hurray for your friend! no need to donate a loaner kidney - all drunk and liquored up! :)
ReplyDeleteand i adore pig. what a character!
Glad your friend is doing better!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of your eggplant! I tried to plant it, but it never took :-(
Glad to hear your friend's better! Speaking of brats, the squirrels are doing a number on my tomatoes, just taking a bite or two then leaving them to rot:@( Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteOne very lucky pig! I'm jealous of your watermelons. Glad your friend is improving!
ReplyDeleteI'm SOOOOOO glad your friend is doing better!!!
ReplyDeleteI will be there for dessert.... think Pig will share with me?
;-D robelyn
I'm so glad to hear the good news about your friend! You certainly do spoil Pig, you know. My groundhogs (there are two, I saw one night) would be very jealous.
ReplyDeleteThat's great news about Jeremy.
ReplyDeleteIn that first shot of Pig, I think maybe she's trying to soften up the tomato, so she's got a good spot to bit into it.
Great news for Jeremy!!! The rest is all gravy...:)JP
ReplyDeleteexcellent news! a day to be thankful for, all around!
ReplyDeletepig must have a sweet tooth. stinker.
Awesome news!
ReplyDeleteYour veggies are looking great!
Hope you enjoyed your down-time today!
Pig is just too cool...even in this heat wave. I get a kick out of how you two live in "harmony." Well, maybe that's pushing it, but at least Pig knows a good thing and provides a lot of fun blog fodder. Your garden is looking super!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for stopping by...
I am in love with Pig. What a cutie. Glad to hear your friend is doing better.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear that your friend is doing better!
ReplyDeleteThat Pig! You've gotta love her! She is kind of cute.
Wonderful photos and maybe the little guy wanted a red tomato? :)
ReplyDeleteHey Samantha! Finally made it over to comment on your blog! I love your sense of humor and the photos are awesome. I love Pig! Glad your friend is better as well. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteBill
Great pictures of everything. I like buntings. I like the groundhog too, even if she is a menace.
ReplyDeleteGlad Jeremy is out of the hospital and improving! Pig is going to become the star of this blog!! Hope your pie was wonderful, know it was :)
ReplyDeleteBefore we moved here, the groundhogs had taken over and built a whole little civilization underneath all the outbuildings. You should see what they did to our old well! With habitation, the little fellas moved to the farther parts of the property, and we only see them near the house in the evenings when they come out to eat. I wish they weren't so destructive, because they're fun to watch. Mama groundhog and her two babies, eating clover, sitting like prairie dogs.
ReplyDeleteEither Pig is used to you, or you use a L.O.N.G lens to get your shots. Mine run almost as soon as I close the back door behind me. Wary little critters.
C, we're pretty sure Pig was raised tame and dumped.
ReplyDeleteMy very first interaction with her was her sneaking up behind me and trying to steal the flipflop off my foot!
She will eat out of your hand (which we won't allow) and is perfectly comfortable following me around as I pick peaches and apples.
She'll even sit next to me on the front steps. I'm not ok with that, either!
glad to hear the good news of your friend...
ReplyDeleteyour veggies...and little critters all look so happy! your *pig* is such a character...a picky one too!
hope you enjoyed the down time!
