Never heard of "butterfly gel food". Thanks for explaining that because I thought you had an injured finger. Poor thing, I agree. Not ever seen a butterfly with a hole in its wing. I love to see people saving the little things in life. I am like that with worms. Nice post, I will be back.
And it wouldn't be you, Sam, if you didn't have the appropriate food handy, and keep it perched on your finger long enough to take spectacular pictures.
Nancy took my pun! Anyway, that would be a neat thing, albeit, the poor butterfly probably wasn't enjoying the crash landing! Excellent pictures, but I sort of suspect that might tickle!
lucky for the butterfly that you were there to come to the rescue when it crash landed!! and did you squeeze the nectar out of the flower by yourself?!! :]
maybe you gave it enough food to regain its strength and continue on its journey...

ReplyDeleteAnd where does this butterfly gel food come from?
Never seen it before.
What a sweet little friend!
ReplyDeleteI found the gel online at a wild bird supply site. No idea what the site was, but I'll see if I can find it.
